Samuel Ryan Curtis Platte City Branch of Mid-Continent Library, 2702 Praire View Road, Platte City, MO.
Terry Bechenbaugh will cover the highs, lows anda lot of things in between in arguing that Samuel Ryan Curtis proved to be an effective administrator and comander of Kansas during the Civil War at the US Army Command and General Staff College at Fort Levenworth, KS

A visit From St. Nicholas - Shoal Creek

Shoal Creek Living History Museum in Hodge Park,
7000 NE Berry Rd., Kansas City, MO.
Tour 19th century buildings decorated as Christmas 1825 to 1890. Highlight is a visit with St. Nicholas and a small gift for children. $3.00 per person, ages 6 and up.
